Claim after miscarriage or confinement

An insured woman claiming maternity benefit for miscarriage or confinement must submit to her Branch  Office a claim for maternity benefit in form 22 accompanied by a certificate of miscarriage or confinement  in form 23 within 30 days of the date of confinement or miscarriage. However, Regional Directors have been delegated power to relax the time limit of 30 days as provided in Regulation 89 up to a period of six months.
