Extended Sickness Benefit

Extended Sickness Benefit is payable if the IP is suffering from  tuberculosis, leprosy, mental and malignant diseases or certain other long term diseases, after exhausting sickness benefit, which is payable upto 91 days.

The list of specified long term diseases is constantly reviewed by the Corporation on recommendations of the Medical Benefit Council and presently it includes 34 diseases. click here for the list of diseases admissible for claiming extended sickness benefit.
