Temporary disablement Benefit (TDB)
Temporary Disablement Benefit is payable to an employee who suffers from temporary disability arising out of an employment injury or occupational disease for the period so certified by an Insurance Medical Officer / Practioner for which the insured person does not work for wages. Section 2(21) defines "temporary disablement" as "a condition resulting from an employment injury which requires medical treatment and renders an employee, as a result of such injury, temporarily incapable of doing the work which he was doing prior to or at the time of injury."
