MECHANISAM OF GRIEVANCE REDRESSAL IN COIMBATORE SUB REGION
ESI Scheme is a unique social security scheme that guarantees a fair deal to covered members by providing full medical facilities to the beneficiaries, and their families besides, adequate cash compensation to insured persons for loss of wages or earning capacity in times of physical distress arising out of sickness or employment injury including commuting accidents or unemployment. The ESI Act, 1948 applies to any premises / precincts where 10 or more persons are employed . And the Employees drawing wages upto Rs.21,000/- (excluding overtime) a month are entitled to this social security cover.
ESIC is having a well structured mechanism for the redressal of the grievances of its beneficiaries. In this regard, all concerned are directed to make a note of the following details.
Suvidha Samagam is held on 2nd Wednesday of every month at Sub Regional Office and 2nd Friday of every month at respective Branch Offices. In case of holiday on the assigned date, Suvidha Samagam will be held on the next working day.
